And that’s where physically oriented young men are going to be. But on the off chance that some young woman here is looking for a guy who’s more into intellectual pursuits, maybe you should give a local astronomy club a shot. The one with which I was involved was run out of NASA Goddard, which meant that the group was entirely out of school and mostly employed there. It also meant that the age-range was wide, but it certainly included single 20 somethings. Monthly star parties were a lot of fun, especially if you get to travel away from the city.. Astronomy can be expensive (it tends to be equipment intensive). But clubs are a great way to get to share someone elses stuff for free and meet them in the process. I’m finally living in the same city as my boyfriend and I want to meet some people who aren’t software developers. :P
